Hafele 003.15.016 Titebond II Premium Wood GlueHafele 003.15.016 Titebond II, Premium Wood Glue is specially formulated for exterior applications, offering exceptional heat and solvent resistance. This 2.15-gallon adhesive is designed for versatility, making it ideal for both woodworkers and DIY enthusiasts alike. Its FDA approval for indirect food contact, such as for use in cutting boards, highlights its safe application in various projects. With an application temperature above 55°F, Titebond II provides a quick assembly time of just 5 minutes at 70°F and 50% relative humidity. The minimum required spread is 7 mils, ensuring a strong bond. Clamping pressure must be sufficient to bring joints tightly together, varying from 30-250 psi depending on the materials involved. This glue can be easily applied with a roller spreader or brush, allowing for precision in application. Cleanup is a breeze, requiring only a damp cloth while the glue remains wet, while excess dried glue can be scraped off. Titebond II meets ANSI/HPVA Type II water-resistance tests, although it is not suitable for joints submerged underwater. To maintain optimal performance, avoid freezing. With its reliable bond strength and ease of use, Titebond II is a must-have for any woodworking project.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES Application temperature:Above 55°F Assembly time after glue application:5 minutes (70°F/50% RH) Minimum required spread: 7 mils (typical) Required clamping pressure: Enough to bring joints tightly together (generally, 30-80 psi for HPL, 100-150 psi for softwoods, 125-175 psi for medium woods and 175-250 psi for hardwoods). Methods of application: Easily spread with a roller spreader or brush, or may be transferred to plastic bottles for finer gluing application. Cleanup: Damp cloth while glue is wet. Scrape off dried excess. BOND STRENGTH ASTM D-905 (On Hard Maple) Temperature Strength psi % wood failure Room Temperature 3,750 72 150° Overnight 1,750 6 LIMITATIONS Passes ANSI/HPVA Type II water-resistance tests. Do not use for joints below the waterline or continuous submersion. Freezing may not affect the function of the product but may cause it to thicken. Agitation should restore product to original form. Because of variances in the surfaces of treated lumber, it is a good idea to test for adhesion. KEEP FROM FREEZING Note Chalk temperature indicates the lowest approximate temperature at which the glue, air or materials to be bonded may be to assure a good bond.
